Site Creation and Purpose

This web site was created by Gina Jessamyn Johnson, a graduate student in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology at the University of North Carolina (UNC) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As part of a master’s degree program for rehabilitation counselors, Gina Johnson created this web site to educate rehabilitation counselors about postpartum depression. The mission of this web site is to develop awareness and understanding of postpartum depression among rehabilitation counselors, in order to promote identification and treatment of postpartum depression. 

Confidentiality Policy

In accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (1996), the author of the web site maintains confidentiality of all personal health information received via email. Personal identifiers such as name, place of work, or email address are never shared with third-party vendors or published on the web site.

Funding Sources and Advertising Policy

This web site is hosted free-of-charge by UNC Digital Commons, a web site development and hosting service open to all currently enrolled students at UNC. Due to the regulations of the hosting entity, this web site does not accept or host advertisements.
